This summer was filled with lots of family time. We started the season off with a fun filled Mother’s Day. Cory and I made brunch for my parents, so, or course, I had to show mom how she taught me well with her entertaining skills. Brunch started with mimosa’s and continued with a Martha Stewart apple and cheddar frittata. After brunch, we ventured around the Heights sampling cheese at Houston Dairymaids and browsing through spices at Penzey’s Spices.
We had planned to make dinner as well, however, we had a change of plans when we returned from our outings, and discovered a pipe had burst under our sink! Dinner at Plonk just up the street suited just fine for us!
About a month later, Cory’s parents came into town. We ventured down to Galveston for a fun day trip with both sets of in-laws! We enjoyed shopping on The Strand and afternoon cocktails at The Hotel Galvez.
