Hunting for Treasures

Last spring, my mom and I made our bi-yearly trip to the Antique Weekend in Warrenton, Texas located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This year we had quite a bit to hunt for. Sine I LOVE antiques, loved the idea of sprinkling them into my wedding details every way that I could.

Here were some of our finds……
Vintage Lace to wrap around my bouquet along with my bridesmaids bouquets.
**The cross broach on my bouquet was actually my “something old” which was my mom’s that she wore on her wedding day as well as my sister pinned on her bouquet last year. The handkerchief I am holding was my “something borrowed” which was also my mom’s vintage handkerchief. It has my mom, my sister’s and my initials embroidered on it.

Antique broaches that I bought for each of my eight bridesmaids as one of their gifts. I had all the girls pin the broaches to their bouquets for the ceremony. I tried to find each one that fit their personalities.

The following photos are the reason why I love going to this market simply just to go! Even if you are not looking for something in particular—there will be something here that will want!!

Like if you need a clarinet?……

 Or an old TV…..

 A Boxcar!…..

 Some vintage comic books…..

Or if you really need to know the time…..

 I particularly LOVE old photos…..

 I think I made my point…… 🙂

Other shots from the day…..
